In the winter months, your yard needs less maintenance. But there are several things that you can do (or hire us to do) to take care of your property. Remove the leaves from your yard or mulch them into your lawn. This protects your grass and prepares it for a lush green spring. Pick up and dispose of any fallen branches and tree limbs. Winter is an excellent time to trim the limbs from your tree that scrape your house, hit your face, or are just hanging too low. Also, if you didn't complete that last bush and shrub trimming in the fall, winter is a great time to get that done. Mulch is an often overlooked, but very beneficial part of winter yard maintenance. Mulch will protect your bushes and shrubs from the harsh conditions of winter. Install a thick layer of mulch around the base of your bushes and shrubs. Also winter is a great time to have your landscape beds mulched. In addition to protecting your bushes and shrubs, a layer of mulch will protect the soil below from run-off and erosion during the freeze/melt cycles that are common in the Kansas City area. Contact us for a free estimate for any of these services.

When you hire a lawn care company, you are inviting a person (or people) to spend time on your property. They will be in your front yard, back yard, side yards, and all around your house. Possibly they will be spending a lot of time on your property, either during a specific project or over the course of a season. You will want to determine several things: 1. Can I trust this company? 2. Are they capable of completing the work? 3. Is it a good investment of my money to hire them? 4. Will hiring them make my life better and easier? So, how can you get the answers to these questions? One way is to ask a friend or neighbor for a recommendation. If they have had a good experience with their service provider, that's a great place to start. In essence, you are borrowing their answers to the four questions listed. From the perspective of the service provider, we really appreciate receiving inquiries from friends and neighbors of our current customers. Word of mouth referrals generally are usually the type of customers that we want to work for. They are usually nearby our other customers. There is a base level of trust already established. The potential customer already has a good idea about our capabilities and expertise. Hopefully, it's a good fit right from the start!
leaf clean-up in kansas

Anderson Lawn Care is scheduling leaf clean-ups for our customers now. We get asked how we clean-up the leaves. Here's how we do it: our crew of 3 to 5 guys arrive at your property. We use backpack blowers to move the leaves from the back of your yard to the front of your house. We move the leaves to the curb. The next step is to vacuum up the leaf pile. We have an industrial leaf loader with a flexible hose. This sucks up the leaves, shreds them, and then blows them into the enclosed dump trailer. The leaves are dropped off at a yard waste recycling location. When you hire Anderson Lawn Care to clean up the leaves in your yard, you get the most precious commodity in the world: time. A chore that will take you all weekend (and more) can be completed efficiently and professionally. Why spend your valuable free time breaking your back? We have invested in the team, trucks, and equipment to make your life easier! Contact us today to get a free estimate for a leaf clean-up.

September and early October is aerating season. Aeration breaks up thatch, improves infiltration of nutrients, increases oxygen supply to the roots, and encourages deep grass root growth. In addition to aerating, Anderson Lawn Care also offers a fall lawn renovation program including overseeding, fertilizing, and soil amendment.
